Any way to hide/isolate meshes when painting skin weights?

In the UE 5.5 roadmap, the card for Skeletal Mesh Weight Editing UX mentions improved isolation of meshes.

I was wondering if this meant the ability to actually hide/show meshes with something like a clothed character while painting skin weights. It seems like this may have just been referring to the new option to flood fill a vertex selection?

Unfortunately it seems like you still can’t use the selection as a mask while painting. I love the improvements but was really hoping for this in 5.5!
