I’ve been looking for solutions to make this happen, but couldn’t really find anything relevant to this specific need.
What I need is to output all scene cameras in a grid manner (example: 9 cameras displayed in a 3X3 grid) to a big screen (like a 70 inch TV screen) with low quality previews, so it can be rendered by one machine only. Then in a separate output the chosen camera can be displayed at full quality, preferably using the same render machine.
This would be an ideal system for a director’s room, where cameras can be switched in a live environment in a low cost manner (without the need for one render machine per camera).
What I can find related to this is nDisplay, which is not what I need.
I also found that it’s possible to switch cameras using the Media Capture tool for SDI outputs, which is handy, but doesn’t seem to be the way to preview all scene cameras at once.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks!
