whenever the spring arm target distance is changed, the camera immediately snaps to the end of the spring arm. this makes adjusting the spring arm distance feel incredibly sharp and bad when compared to rotating or moving the camera. rotating has the smoothing, moving has smoothing, but adjusting the zoom level does not.
is there any way to adjust the target distance without snapping the camera immediately?
ive seen people suggest an Event Graph timeline to smooth the distance adjustment, but this nullifies the camera rotation and distance smoothing entirely during the timeline, as the target distance is constantly being changed, which constantly snaps the camera to the end of it.
i have also tried adding another spring arm to the end of the spring arm, with a target distance of 0, and using the camera smoothing from that, but it creates weirdness with the way the camera acts when the actor is rotated, and is disorienting and feels odd.
any ideas? plugins? engine edits?
