Any tips on how to get attention on this game?
Hey @GarthHere
There are two ways you can do this without spending money. One approach may take a bit more time to see results, while the other is likely to show results in the short term.
EASY WAY
If you don’t yet have accounts on Twitch and Kick, I recommend creating one on each, as this will be your main step to reach players quickly.
Here are the links: Twitch, Kick
The next step you could do is to generate some free keys and find streamers who are currently live but don’t have a lot of viewers. This way, they’ll be more likely to notice you in chat and interact with you. Spend some time on their channel, follow them, chat about what they’re playing, and, after a while, ask if they’d like to try out your game. Depending on their response, you can share the code or your game with them.
Keep in mind that not all of them will agree, but many likely will, since they have fewer viewers and may want to grow their audience. Additionally, many streamers play with friends, so their friends might also want to play your game.
NOT SO EASY
This path is not so easy because it will take more time, and you might not attract many players in the short term. Take the best screenshot of your game (one that represents the game well) and add the logo or name along with the link to your game. You can now use this as a banner to post on social media, Discord channels, and other platforms.
If you can make a short YouTube video with some gameplay as a form of “advertising,” it would also be very helpful and allow your target audience to understand what it’s about, making it easier to attract players.
I hope I’ve been helpful! Let me know how it goes
Thanks for the feed back.
I’ve been doing the first one, which is not easy to slowly win over somebody then drop the question at the right time, but I’ll work on that a bit more.
We’ve do some X posts, discord sucks cause most of the channels consist of other devs trying to sell their game.
We’ve been getting almost no attention, feels a bit like the woke mod is scaring people off.
