Any plan fixing Landscape editing bug which is causing crash?

So this is happening since 5.4 (haven’t tried 5.3) and it is really annoying.

I have been working on a project since two and half years ago, create my quest system, NPC, AI, and many more, have created a simple landscape blockout and now need to create an actual landscape under it.

The problem is everytime I touch the landscape, after a few touch, no matter what (sculpt, spline move, …) it starts overflowing memory and then crashing.

My GPU is 7800XT 16GB memory so I don’t think it is shortage of memory but memory leak. I can observe this from increasing memory usage until it reach about 20~24GB and then the GPU crashes. Also I’m on latest GPU driver all the time.

This has to be fixed someday and appreciate if it is ASAP. I think I saw a DEV team member wrote a note about this issue in roadmap and forums but cannot find it at the moment. and I’m sure it isn’t fixed in 5.7 either.

A general note, I guess Epic should start working on fixing issues before the publish new plugins and engine versions as each new version adds a bunch more bugs with no fix.

In above example I’m just dragging a spline point on landscape manage mode which is leaking about 300MB in each movement and crashes editor in just few seconds. With Landscape sculpt it takes longer but effect is same.

If it helps steaming is enabled, map is openworld and size is 4017x4017 (other params are default)

This is probably related to unresolved UE-172409 that persists since 5.2
