Another random kerboom kills another entire project?

ERROR: !Id:38f46d1913eb3c3036d9df030fcb0e4a - [aka don’t think you could ever load this project again…]

[Rant]
So, Once again I’ve got a completely unload-able project… ran fine, made 2 minor blueprint changes (removed a “print string” showing a mob’s damage taken, and floored the float to pretty up the health text above it’s head); compiled, saved, played for a few minutes, saved again…
closed editor without issues…
shut the pc down to go to shopping for about an hour… start pc back up ad get another “GO #$% YOURSELF” error… only this time none of the “auto-back” **** does anything…
This is the second project I’ve had to start over again from scratch with random “you cont ever load this again” errors…

Only on this project (check my channel) I have put a LOT of work into… only to have it crash n burn… maybe you should have the editor save a last known good backup so if you can’t load it, you can fallback to the one that was loaded when the editor didn’t explode at load time?
[/Rant]

So, how do I fix this? Tried copying every single backed up file 1 at a time over the main copy, no go… editor works with other projects and new project fine, so the editor itself is not bugged…

[opened the 4.3 project in 4.4 - opened fine… but like most of the 4.4 projects. - no sound… but it opens… so not sure what’s up there…]

Hi DarkLichNY,

Can you post a link to your answerhub post here? Thank you!

Backing up your projects is also important, even if the editor works perfectly. You should look into some sort of repository system for yourself such as git or svn.
