Another "Puzzle" Game

…that currently has no Name.

I am still not 100% sure what it will “be” in the end, but i already got several types of puzzles into the game, and i have enough ideas to enhance them when the difficulty gets higher.

But this is how it currently looks: [Funfact: Everything (except the Vegetation) is made with converted BSPs…)

There are three Types of Levels: Indoor, Outdoor, Glasshouse (this is one of the Glasshouse-Levels)

Levels/Puzzles are often crossing each other, or at least are visible from another Part of the Level.

I think it does not look “that bad” - for a One-Man-Project

"I think it does not look “that bad” - for a One-Man-Project "
are you kidding … this is awesome
i have a question are you designed the models too?

Thank you!

I designed them all (except the Trees, Grass and Plants, they are from the Marketplace).
All the Models are made within UE4 and its “BSP-Tool”, and then converted to Static Mesh. (I hate Blender… so complex >.<, and Problems with exporting…)

Having to do “everything” is the most complex part of it. (I am more the “Deisgner” and “Artist”, less the “Programmer”.)
I have to design the Levels, Gameplay, Models, Materials, Blueprints, Lighting (selfmade fake-gi) and everything else that is needed for such a game.

At one Point i needed something to switch between Levels (Level_streaming), I came up with elevators… but i wanted to do them right, and i think they are “not that bad” in terms of “believability”.
Since i tend to use much glass on everything, i needed to have animjated counterweithgst and stuff like this
, this is how it looks from the top.

The one used for Level-Streaming (sometimes):

Top of that Elevator:

And one of two versions vor general use:

They might look a bit “awkward” at first, but you need to see them in motion (really looks good :D)

thank you for sharing this information with me
I wish the best for you

You continue with surprising me

Looks really cool man. I’m working on a puzzle game with some lasers too, quickly finding that designing puzzles can be quite challenging at times and almost is a puzzle itself. Good luck!

Reworked some stuff, now comes with color

…and less “black”

…and more blue

…and red.

Still WIP, still a one-man-project.

Current playtime is already around 2-3 hours (from Testers), and it is more difficult than your average puzzle-game. (Portal 1/2 etc.)

Targeted playtime is ~10 Hours, with some very difficult puzzles (optional) at the end.

Looking cool!! Really like the vibrant contrast in colors.

still not sure about the visual style… what do you guys think?

Nice choice of colors, what Post process settings are you tweaking?

White Balance is set to a warmer color.

Perhaps make the beams a bit thicker and tone down the bloom just a hair?

I like the clean look
