I’m basically working on one level design withing a project. But whenever I make major changes/additions, I’ll add a new level version (LeeLevel01, LeeLevel02, etc), as a way of backing up my work, and in case something goes wrong with the latest version I can fall back on the previous version.
I recently lost many hours of work on my level (still not sure exactly why), but it happened after I added a light pack I purchased from the store. Which is why I’m being really careful about what I do, and what I delete. ** I just wanted to confirm that by deleting some of the earliest level versions within the project, it won’t effect the latest version levels I’m currently working on.**
The last thing I want to happen is to lose another two days’ worth of work.
I also tried cloning my project as a backup, but got a warning message about possibly losing data. So I never backed up the actual project, just the levels.
Thanks for your patience with these questions. I’m just designing levels for my own amusement (not a serious level builder). And I have no patience for programming or coding, which is why whenever I look at blueprints, it makes my eyes cross. LOL!
