Animations lifting off ground Root Motion issue or Collision issue?

Hey to all that are reading this

I am Using AnimMontages in unreal 4 and i am trying to apply root motion to my character mesh. the default idle animation is fine (Standing on the ground) but when i try to play my movement animations the character lifts off the ground this doesnt happen when root motion isnt applied but i need root motion in order for the animations to make sense, these animations worked fine in Unreal engine 3 and i didnt have this issue.

ive tried testing if my collision cylinder was the problem.
If because of the Collisions sixe the character would lift and not move closer to the ground. but that was not the case

Any Help or Assistance troubleshooting this problem is greatly appreciated.

Hello Panda, I had the same issue, because i’m doing a Ledge Climb Up Animation, and the way i solved it, is setting the Movement Mode to None to stop any movement incoming, inmediately after that i set Movement Mode to Flying because AnimMontage cant play when Movement Mode is None, then i Played the Montage, and with a Notify event inside the Animation that triggers when it finish and i set back again Movement Mode to Walk. There should be a better way to do it, but so far that is how it works for me. Hope it helps you!
