I’m new to animation in UE, so I might be misunderstanding something. Anyway, I am making a video, not a game, so all of my animation takes place in the sequence of UE. Anyway, I’m trying to create an animation of a wall that grows/follows a path. I have successfully made the animation in blender, but when I import it into UE the animation doesn’t do anything. The Mesh is fine, but it is in its final, “fully grown” state, and I can’t figure out how to get the animation to work. And all the tutorials I find are around how to do character animations with armatures, which I don’t think applies to me. If anybody know anything about this workflow I’d appreciate some advice. Thanks.
I’m certainly not an expert on this question, but I think the new motion graphics tool in UE5.4 should be suitable for creating just such an animation. There are videos on YouTube that show what you can do with replicators, effectors and a spline.
How are you exporting it? If you bring that export back into Blender does it work? What file type is it?
