Animation To Vector Displacement Map?

Hi;
I was wondering. Does anyone know how to take an animation and convert it to a vector displacement map?
I am hopeing to take what is a skeletal animation, like a walk cycle, and convert it to a vector displacement map that way it only animates the vertecies that already exist without having to tessilate.
Also that way I can instance the mesh that is animating and put a thousand out there and see how they do.
Any help is greatly apreciated.
