So before, my character was like glitchy everytime I tried to move him around with the Animation Starter Pack character. I had to uncheck “Use Controller Rotation Yaw” and it fixed that. However, now I have 2 issues.
Camera cannot played with it. Mind you, I couldn’t before the shaky issue. It’s stuck in one direction behind the character looking forward and I cannot turn my camera left right up down or anywhere. It’s stuck. How would I fix this?
I like “Use Controller Rotation Yaw” because it always had my character looking straight in the direction the camera was. Anyway I can get this effect and have my character not be all shaky?
Pretty much, if i had to compare it to anything, I’d say my goal is to have a Destiny style 3rd person camera, when wherever my camera was looking, the character turns with it so its always looking the same way I am naturally.
I’ve gone over the Animation Starter Pack Tutorial 10 times and have it EXACTLY the same way. Please someone help. Thanks to everyone who even tries, hopefully someone can help me figure this out. Thanks guys.
check in your project settings if you have the right axis inputs + check the character bp for any warnings. Does it turn when you move the character right/left?
Accessed None "CallFunc_GetPlayerCharacter_ReturnValue’ from node Result in graph transition in blueprint MyAnimationBlueprint 4 times.
(However, when I check this it’s exactly like the picture and instructions from tutorial so I have no idea why it does this)
and no it doesn’t. It stays looking in the same direction it starts when I hit play, Although it does at least follow the character so they don’t leave the screen. That’s a plus I guess lol =)
Awesome so now I can move the camera left to right perfect!
Last issue then would be the shaky character movement thing. I get these error codes like I said in my previous posts, that take it to a screen that’s showing me the blueprint that is textbook perfect to I was reading.
Whenever I go to crouching, once I stand, the standing animations are all messed up. No idea why.
