Animation Retargeting not working for same skeletal mesh as Unreal 4's

Hey everyone. I want to create a new character that uses the same skeleton as the Unreal character, and I mostly got it working, except the fingers.

I am using blender, and followed the twitch stream (Blender & UE4 | 01 | Live Training | Unreal Engine - YouTube), and the documentation for retargeting (Animation Retargeting in Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation).

I exported the skeletal mesh from unreal and imported it into blender with the recommended settings (I’m doing no changes for the purpose of this demonstration):

I then exported it with the recommended settings:

Everything is going perfectly so far! But as soon as I re-target, again with the recommended settings:

The fingers are not aligned properly! I messed around with a bunch of settings (like setting the fingers to the 4 types of retargeting settigns, IE animation, skeleton, animation scaled, etc…), but nothing is working. I find it strange because I have done 0 changes to the mesh or skeleton in blender, and these issues are still happening. I even messed around with the proportions of the skeleton in another test, and everything worked properly, except the fingers which were still the same.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? This is the last thing I need to fix before I start rigging my character!
