Animation preview not playing under certain conditions

Detailed description of the issue:
In the Animation Blueprint Editor: If the preview in the “Graph tab” is paused, it’s not possible to preview an animation in the “Animation tab”. Unpausing the preview in the “Graph tab” fixes this.

Repro Steps:

  1. Open an Animation Blueprint (with animations available for testing)
  2. Select “Graph Tab”
  3. Pause preview
  4. Select “Animation Tab”
  5. double click any animation from “Asset Browser” within that window

Reproduction rate: 100%

Thanks for pointing this bug out. I’ve tested this and, as you’ve pointed out, wih a 100% reproduction rate. I have reported this as: JIRA [UE-19995]. When this is addressed in a future build of the engine, we will add an update to this post.

The way the AnimBlueprint is reworked for UE4.14 fixes this issue even though this issue was not addressed directly.
