Hello dear community,
The problem (Ue4.27): I am currently building a reconstruction of a medieval city wall. This is to be made up of individual parts. Here is an example of how it should look like in the end: Charles Bridge - Bridge construction in Europe in the 14th century - YouTube
The result has to be rendered as a film.
My question:
How can I make the stones come down at a specific time in the sequencer without having to manually specify the movement of each individual stone? Is there a plug-in for this or does anyone have an idea? I have more than 1,000 roof shingles that need to be animated. I can´t do this manually.
Thanks for the help.
You either have to write your own blueprint, or use a marketplace product.
I can’t find an example right now…
Ok, found one
Create motion graphics effects in few seconds. Drag & drop easy to use blueprint for animations, motion graphics, building effects, growing animations... Useable for any actors, just Tag them and start animate.
Nha. Make a material shader…
Power the time with a variable so you can control it directly.
Its too many entities to control with a blueprint when you handle each block.
Instead, you don’t need collision so using a shader that “assembles” the block over time makes much more sense.
All you are really doing is probably going vertically down onto its proper position so it should be fairly simple to set up.
To make it offset the start, just run the next object off a stack every tick, then change the time of each tick to taste…

Thank you for the ideas. The plugin looks good.
