Animation jittering in engine

HI all, I’m importing an animation into UE4 from Maya, it’s basically a really big vine that moves along a curve in Maya. I bake the sim to the bones and the geo and then export it, and at certain points in the animation it jitters hard, it looks like the geo is vibrating. I’ve exported and reimported about 18 times and each time the issue persists.
There are over 250 bones in the vine, which is large I know but I need the fluidity and as yet there is no alembic cache support in UE4. The animation moves fairly far from the origin which I thought could possibly be an issue, but I don’t know really.

Can you provide a gif or video of what it looks like in engine and if you export the FBX into Maya?
