I’m running into a specific issue where Motion Matching works perfectly in a Development build (and PIE), but breaks when packaged as Shipping.
My character’s movement has minor glitches that aren’t present in Development.
The Issue:
In the Shipping build, the character jitters when turning between animations occasionally. I have attached a video below showing the comparison.
I also testeda packaged build of GASP 5.7 and noticed an issue where the character’s legs become tangled when turning in place.
This does not happen in PIE or Development builds, the animation behaves correctly there. The problem only appears in the shipping build…
I found the fix, go to DefaultEngine.ini and look for
“DDCvar.LocomotionSetupCMC” and set default value to 1 (For 5.7 GASP) or
“DDCVar.ExperimentalStateMachine.Enable” and set default value to True (For 5.6 GASP).
