So I’m new to working with Unreal Engine and animation in general. I’ve looked through the forums and found one thread with a very similar problem that I have, but unfortunately there was no reply for it.
Anyway, I just created a punching animation with Maya and exported it to UE. When previewing the animation in UE, it seemed to work fine. But after setting everything up in the Event Graph and Animation Graph in the Character BP, when the animation is triggered, the transition between the idle animation to my animation, and vice-versa, gets a little wacky. The character’s feet briefly clips through the floor a little bit and comes back up, as shown in the video below:
