Hello, I am trying to port a bunch of animations from a different engine, I import the base mesh that contains the skeleton, then try to import the animation files, but I get the error “mesh contains root bone as root but animation doesn’t contain the root track.” This is on hundreds of animations, so even if I knew what to do to fix the error (I don’t I’ve tried baking the animation down in maya and messing around with it in motionbuilder) I’d be in trouble. Does anyone have an idea on what I should do?
Meh, if anyone’s looking for the answer to this, I just retargeted all my anims in motionbuilder. Didn’t even take all that long.
