Animation effect breakdown

Hi guys,

I recorded a quick video of an animation effect that I want to replicate, and was looking for any insight into how this might have been done, or could be done in Unreal Engine:


Notice how as the player moves their mouse side to side, it almost seems if the hand and weapon mesh follows but with a bit of a delay. Would this effect be achieved by parenting the mesh to the camera but with some sort of spring-arm type of functionality? Any ideas anyone has would be super helpful, I’m not very experienced in animation. :smiley:
