I need to have anim curves so I can put them into a timeline (To make a bunch of animations work easily) but I don’t have Maya or 3dsmax and was wondering if I could use Blender. I tried using ue4curves but it kept spitting out python errors
By default there is no option to import curves, however this thread contains information about a few alternative methods: Import curves to unreal - #8 by Jakatak

Made a specific pluing ages ago.
Try it.
Yeah I tried it but I got errors If you would like them I can send you a screenshot of the errors I get when exporting
You shouldn’t be getting any errors on export.
The plugin has been working without any incidents for years. I use it almost daily.
You can paste the errors here, but its far more likely you set something up incorrectly, which isnt something I can really help with…
I’ll have a look.
Just to confirm, you are on the latest 3.3
And you are attempting to export an armature with a timeline and frames of some sort, right?
I tried with just an armature. and I also added some keyframes and stuff yeah and yes im on 3.3
Hey @BattleXGamer3 , Just updated the add-on (and my version of blender).
You should be able to give it a go again.
I have tested that it import/export, but I didn’t bother actually trying one of the old curve files.
I expect it to work fine, since it was merely an issue of Blender deprecating proxies.
I went through a file compare of most of the code vs the latest FBX IO.
There’s little to no important changes. Really the only difference is how the window/ui is arranged and some new options.
Still, this is additional, not a replacement. You can still export the regular FBX too - it just won’t include curves into the animation…
Considering the last update was in 2020, I guess I can’t complain too much about Blender deprecating things
Ok I will test it out
