Hi, I’m a bit frustrated.
I’m testing something in the Animation Blueprint and want to use the Anim Graph to check if everything is working as expected.
While I’m running around, jumping, stopping, and then running again, the Idle state in the ABP stays active the whole time. It doesn’t switch to the other states, even though everything seems to work correctly in the game.
What do I need to do to see the active states in the ABP as well? Or am I doing something fundamentally wrong?
i have the same problem when i create the third person template without any changes.
After hitting play and heading back to your animation blueprint, click on the icon of two arrows pointing to the right that’s on the top right, next to the blue skeleton icon, then click on the dropdown menu that has “no debug object selected” text on it and from there, select your animation instance
thats it! thank you very much! it wasnt in the top right in my version/window (ue 5.5.4), it is in a dropdown menue in the top center. Thanks to you, I knew what to look for.
