Everyone the tool is currently open to MacOS right now as of 4.10v. Go to your Epic Games main directory and you will find it there under the extras. I don’t currently have a Mac OS right now but if you can find it if I give you the windows directory maybe then you can use it finally. In windows its:
C://Program Files (x86)/Epic Games/4.10/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools/ArtToolsOSX/MayaTools.
You take and copy the .py file to your maya scripts directory which is on windows:
C:\Users\Documents\maya\scripts.
After you copy the .py and paste it into the maya scripts directory and open Maya you will see a prompt that asks you to find the directory for the tool. Navigate and select the MayaTools folder in the Epic Games directory. Then the ART tool will load up for you ready to use.
I hope this helps everyone and if you have questions please ask and I will answer.
Hi All, So I think I’m either losing my mind or Rigging Tools are no longer included… I installed a fresh version of EU4, and there is no extra’s folder in engine (Win Install). So I’ve downloaded the toolkit from dropbox, pasted the .py into /maya/scripts and gotten it to run. After selecting the MayaTools folder everything seems to run but no Epic Games menu option shows up. When I go to plugins I do get an error that says the following…
blah blah… maya/scripts\userSetup.py line 88: No module named customMayaMenu #
So I found some other suggestions to fix the problem on here that mention finding all userSetup.py files and there seem to be a couple, one being C:\Autodesk\WI\Autodesk Maya 2016\x64\Maya\Autodesk\Maya2016\plug-ins\bifrost\scripts which I don’t think I should be deleting (correct me if I’m wrong)
Any suggestions much appreciated! I’m on Maya 2016 btw
