So I’m having issues with android development on my machine. Under Launch, I don’t see my device. All I see is the Android support button taking me to the tutorial on how to set up. Also when I try to use the package option, I’m taken to the same tutorial, and it says the android stuff is missing.
The weird thing is, I also don’t see Android settings under project preferences/platform. I see ios though, and I’m on Windows so I’m not sure how it’s giving me options to set stuff up for ios and not android.
I’m on Windows 8 and installed the supplied Nvidia Tegra android dev package as per instructions. I even restarted my machine and installed it to the default C:\NVPACK directory. I can see the environment variables are all set.
I tried rebuilding again and it still hasn’t shown up. I also don’t see anything about an Android build config. I was able to finally do android dev though by using the actual editor and not my own built from source. Still haven’t really resolved the issue with from source.
Is there just a good set of steps to follow? Obviously I’m missing something.
Thank you for reporting this issue. I have dug into the issue a bit more and was able to see the error that you have been. I have entered TTP# 348089 into our bug database so that it may be fixed in a future release.
My guess is that you compiled Win64 after installing the Android SDK (TADP or whatever) and then it put in the right bits for you. Is that possibly what made it work?
