Need to make a public table that shows the members that their answers brought to a solution of the OP problem and the number of times they did it.
And from a certain amount, the members will get a reward. ( it could be a cool icon and even some money )
AnswerHub does this in a sense … without the money.
The problem with AnswerHub right now is that few ppl there do respect the rules, so not everyone is motivated to used it.
Although I have a tendency of being on 90% accepted answer rate on this kind of system, I rarely use it.
I’m more of a forum guy, but don’t think the forums need something like that though.
I agree with Bruno. I don’t think the forum needs something like this.
Instead I suggest improving AnswerHub. Officially moving it to StackExchange could be considered. This might help with SEO. And there are quite a few little tools and apps for SE already (like native notifications on OS X), that do not work with AnswerHub. When I used to spend more time developing for iOS, I set it up, so that new iOS related questions would pop up in a native notification bubble on my screen. If I new the answer and wasn’t in the middle of writing a complex algorithm, I would open it up and try to answer. With AnswerHub I’d have to go to the website every now and then and read through the new posts, which I’m too lazy to do (and also forget most of the time).
Also, bug tracking should be it’s own thing imho.
