_AMDevice detached hangs macOS editor

When attempting to build and run the editor from Xcode on macOS, the editor compiles and begins loading, but often hangs with a message in the console saying something like “2019-10-08 19:39:15.484561-0400 UE4Editor[4607:46555] _AMDDeviceDetached (thread 0x7000172fb000): Device ‘AMDevice 0xREDACTED {UDID = REDACTED, device ID = 18, FullServiceName = REDACTED._apple-mobdev2._tcp.local.}’ detached.” This issue also hangs the engine when using dialogue boxes such as moving, deleting, or copying BPs in bulk. This issue happens 2/3 times when building and after a handful of seconds on those dialogue boxes. This bug has cost me 100s of HOURS of productivity at this point. I want to think this is an issue with the drivers for my particular Mac, but this has been so painful that I can’t let it slide another day.
