Ambient sound indoor/outdoor

Hi guys,
I’m trying to make my sound change when I exit a flat and get to the terrace. Outside I’ll mix in some wind and wave sound, but not sure what’s the procedure. Some trigger volumes? I tried the ambient sound from starter content and gave it its sphere volume but it doesn’t seam to really affect it or attenuate it. Also I’ll need a bit more complex volumes. There are two terraces.

Sorry guys, figured it out.

Was it just a trigger box floating on the terrace that you used?

Actually I created a mesh in MAX consisting of several boxes, 2 enveloped the entire terrace since it’s not right-angular, and one smaller one was near the door and a bit indoors so that it triggered about the time door opened, while you’re still indoor.

Oh…how do I convert an imported mesh like that to a “trigger” one? I mean I set it to “actor hidden in game”, but also I noticed I have to remove cast shadows since it still affected GI when I was building lights.
Is there like a way to really make it a trigger volume that is not rendered nor it affects GI?
