I’m a beginner with UE and I’ve been following landscaping tutorials, I just wanted to know if there is an alternate for nanite tessellation for landscape displacement?
I have an RX 580, which is outdated I know, but everything I’ve learned the last two days has told me most AMD GPUS cant even do it because Nanite just doesn’t like AMD apparently
I’ve looked into Runtime Virtual Textures, Parallax Occlusion and world position offset but none of them work well with landscapes and third person character interaction, clipping through parts of the terrain, no collision etc…
All I’ve managed to do is get displaced textures on static plane meshes from the modelling mode, but that’s hardly an efficient way to start building a landscape, especially since you can’t sculpt it the way you can in landscape mode and I’m hoping to paint and blend textures together as is normally done in landscape mode
I’ve been pulling my hair out for the last two days trying to find a work around so any help would be greatly appreciated!
