Allowing players to build on top of custom structures

I am making custom structure pieces for my map using “Building Floor”, “Building Wall”, “Building Corner” Blueprint classes etc’, and I want player’s to be able to build on top or connect builds to my structures. However, they don’t seem to connect. I’ve tried to mess with the class options but no success, apart from one setting, “Structurally Support Overlapping Actors”, which allows players to build on top of the structure, but only in certain directions and behaves really unexpectedly.

I am looking for this answer as well

Same issue here.
I found that adding a built in plane to the custom geometry like the ones from the empty basic template level allowed me to build on top, but it’s a terrible hack…

Hello there! I’m with the UEFN documentation team. Let me dig into this for you with the dev team and get you the best answer to your question. I’ll hopefully have an update for you soon.

any update on this?

I’ll ask again. the summer vacation period just ended so I should be able to get an answer today or at least this week

I am also curious on how to do this as well fingers crossed there’s a way to do it :crossed_fingers:

Your question has been investigated by some of my colleagues and they said that the issue is specific to Fortnite’s building system and Blue Print settings, but they weren’t sure if this working in UEFN yet or not.

update?
