I’ve been looking around the forms for an answer but am relatively new to RC so haven’t been able to find the right results to my issue through search.
I’ve found that if I have 1000 imagines or more, alignment seems to be getting stuck about 3/4 way through. It doesn’t report an error but I leave it to run for several hours and there’s no progress. I’ve tried aborting the alignment and starting again and gone as far as starting from a fresh scene to try to fix the issue. But this doesn’t seem to fix the issue at all. I’ve given my comp specs below to help identify the issue
1000 images should not take several hours to align. Did you try smaller batches of, say, 250 each?
Nino, the pause around 75% (it’s most often 73% on my machine) is completely normal and doesn’t need any intervention to progress. Or did you observe a significant speed-up of the pause doing that?
I am also having this issue during the Aligning Images step. The first time it happened, I let it run for nearly 15 hours but never made progress past 21%. I tried to abort, but RC would never stop, so I ended up having to shut down RC through the Task Manager. I restarted RC and tried again, but again it stalled at 21%. I am trying to align 5335 images. All goes well until the Processing step gets to 21%, and then it stalls. When it gets to 21%, the CPU drops down to 0.5%, Memory is at 88%, and there is still Disk activity at about 12 MB/s.
