Those long residual lines imply that the entire reconstruction is shifted from its prior position.
Thanks!
Hello Jakub,
Thanks for looking into this.
This alignment is a part of bigger alignment project. Because it was taking too long to align I made a test half the cameras. I will make another post bellow to explain.
I will explain better here.
I made 1 flight with the smart 3d capture with the drone.
Everything aligned properly here is the alignment with the map.
I’m attaching a screenshot.
Then I made another flight but at some point I lost Wifi signal from my hotspot.
Could that be the reason?
I got setup GCPs. Could that help the alignment?
I started aligning the problematic cameras and it took 22 hours and still is at stuck at 56%.
So I made a test with half the cameras to check the issue.
Any thoughts?
Should I align without geo data?
I tried various things I read on the forum about problems with RTK and none of them work.
I tried the incremental alignment of georeferenced images and it worked up to some point (around 80%) but then everything is back to crazy times and stuck at 50% of alignment for 20+ hours.
So I think I will try another workflow which I tried in the past and worked. Split the project in 2 regions with overlap. Align is region separately and then merge components.
If this doesn’t work than I will try older versions of RC.
I had a similar issue with RTK drone alignment of 60.000 images which was never finishing alignment. I tried an older version and problems were solved.
I’m definitely sure there is some sort of bug with RTK data and cameras which is making the program go in a loop.
I can confirm for anyone having similar problems that this method worked.
