I have done two captures of the same space, once with photogrammetry and once with an ipad pro lidar scan, both with printed markers for alignment, however even with the tracking points I am completely unable to get the lidar and photogrammetry components to align with eachother In Realityscan.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
John

Hello John,
it looks like you will need to use those markers as control points and probably measure those manually over the images.
Thanks Otrhan, I have set the markers as control points already and they are recognised in both the lidar scene and photogrammetry image set, however the components will still not align at all.
Thanks,
John
Hello John,
how many control points have you used? On how many images and LSPs are those placed?
You need to use at least 3 CPs placed over at least 3 images/LSPs.
Also, is it possible that you data are georeferenced in various coordinate systems?
Thanks Otrhan,
I have 10 control points dotted evenly around the space, I have about 500+ photogrammetry images though it’s possible no image can see more than two points at a time due to the spacing, could this be the problem and would it be better if I did the test with the tracking markers in clusters of 3 rather than evenly spaced?
Thanks,
John
Can you show there some print screens from your project?
You mentioned only images in your last post, what about LSPs?
It is better to have the CPs spaced evenly, but then they need to be placed properly also over the images and laser scans.
