Alembic normals bugging out

hi,

i have a vellum sim baked out of houdini as alembic, and imported into UE5 as a gemoetry cache. I am getting wierd results with normals, please see attached image.

I have tried recalculating normals from UE, changing normal setting in houdini SOP, changing alembic import settings in UE… nothing works.

The same alembic looks fine when reimported back into houdini or imported into Blender.

Any advice on a fix is much appreciated!

no sorry i ended up doing it in blender :frowning:

Found a way around. The triangles appearing is due to no transforming the scale before outputing the Alembic.
