Alembic groom collision

It’s so great that grooms can be attached to alembic mesh files. I am loving this feature. I am trying to figure out how to connect this to a physics asset for collision. I have not figured out how to get it to work yet. I was using a hidden skeletal mesh and chose that which did work but it was not using the animated collision just stationary. Let me know if anyone has a workflow for this, thanks!

Were you ever able to find a solution for this issue? I know its possible, but it almost feels like breaking into fort knox at times
