Hey guys,
I’m trying to import lightning sim from Houdini. It’s in the form of polygons so I’m exporting as alembic. When I reimport the alembic in Houdini, the cache looks correct and the animation plays just fine. When I import into Unreal, it seems to read all of the frames. I don’t get any errors and the mesh appears in my viewport when I add it to my scene. However, it only ever displays that specific frame out of what should be 150 frames. Same thing when I add it to my sequencer, it appears as a single frame even when I drag the durration out to 150.
I did a quick test with an animated sphere which loads in correclty and I can see it animating. So I don’t think it’s an issue with the way I’m importing it. It seems like an issue with my cache but I don’t know what else to try in order to troubleshoot.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
