AIPD - Hello Unreal Engine Community

Hey guys,

I’m Sascha, the business dude and one of the Game Designers of Blazing Badger.

As you may know, we’ve grabbed a slot for this year’s Unreal Engine Booth at GDC. We are so thankful (and a little bit proud) that this worked out. If you haven’t heard of us yet, which isn’t very surprising as we were very quiet about ourselves and worked behind closed doors, you can watch our GDC trailer here: AIPD - GDC 2015 Trailer - YouTube

I thought this might be the right time to introduce ourselves to you and to start becoming an active member of the awesome Unreal community. We are currently 5 full-time devs + one freelancer:

  • Marc, our Programmer with 25 years of experience in the industry. He has worked on more than 30 titles, e.g. the famous Kellog’s advertising game “Tony and Friends” on floppy disk(!) or the Settlers series.
  • André, our Lead Game Designer working in the industry for 8 years. Started his career at EA Phenomic.
  • Chris, Game and Level Designer with 3 years of experience in the industry.
  • Sebastian, our Technical Artist with roughly 6 years of experience, contributed to the upcoming “The Order 1886”
  • Peter), our freelance Art Director, working in the industry for 13 years. Worked on titles like Rage, Crysis 2 and Uncharted 2.
  • Sascha, I founded my first company right after school and failed after three years. After that I studied business administration for 3 years, then changed subject to Game Design. I keep the company running and work on the UI mostly.

So Marc, André, Chris and I worked for “keen Games” before, where we were part of the development team of “Sacred 3”.
