Aim offset ignored when montage is playing?

I’m having issues with my AnimBP. The character has montage slots for the whole body and the upper body, and an aim offset for the head for looking at stuff. Everything works fine, except that montages in playing in the upper body slot override my aim offset - the aim offset seems to be fully ignored while a montage is playing, even though the aim offset is added after all montages. What’s the cause of this, am I doing something wrong here? Thanks for helping out!
