AI Environment query system - missing!

Hi, so I am following the “Introduction to AI with Blueprints” learning course and I just started the “Creating your first EQS Query” It says to go into the editor preference and make sure the Environment query system is ticked under the AI tab, in Experimental. Because it is experimental and does not come enabled as default.

Now according to the video, in the learning course, the AI section is located in the Experimental tab, between Cooking and Pie. Except as you can see in the screenshots. It isn’t I tried typing in “Environment query” into the search bar in both Experimental and all settings, but it doesn’t appear. I then went to plugins, to make sure the system was enabled, and yes, it was. I also reset the client/engine to make sure it wasn’t a “have you tried turning it off and on again” meme!

So has Epic removed this function in UE 4.26.1 or does my version of the engine hate me and everything I do?

I am having the same problem (except my version is 4.26.2), were you able to resolve it on your end?

Honestly, I can’t remember. I gave up on the tutorial and moved to other tutorials outside of the learning course for AI and EQS.

I believe and don’t quote me on this. In ue4.26 the option was moved outside of experimental and is enabled by default. So you should be able to continue with the course and everything should be fine.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, you are correct, it is built-in lol. That was slightly frustrating, but I was able to complete the tutorial enough to help me with what I needed. Thanks again!

I have the same problem. I have checked the box in the plugin, but I can’t find it in the editor.
