AI-Character Detection

I currently have a reasonably good system in place in which the character carries round a sphere trigger volume and begin overlap causes the enemy to chase the character until standing next to it. The only problem is trying to replicate this across several enemies, since I’ve used a reference to the EnemyAI Pawn it wont replicate on the other enemies. A long in-depth explanation of how to fix this would be appreciated.
