After updating to Twinmotion 2023.1 we are missing a lot of materials in our user library. Is there a way to convert them to the new version?

Well, yesterday I just did that, it took me a couple of hours to do that. Only my workflow was kind of different.

  • I've opened TM 2022.2.3 and a TM 2023.1 at the same time, with the same folder set as the user library folder.
  • I took the old assets that were missing from the 2023.1 library window and replaced them one by one (in TM2022.2.3) - since I have them categorised it's easier to folow the missing ones;
  • after placing the asset in the scene, I've deleted the old saved asset, This saved me the trouble to rename the newly saved asset;
  • I have saved the asset;
  • atfer restarting TM2023.1 all the assets I've just saved in TM2022.2.3 appeared in the TM2023.1 library;
  • No need to save the TN2022.2.3 file since I've used just to replace the assets in the library;
  • I have noticed that the old assets had different background in the thumbnail, so it is easy to identify the old assets (TM2019)

For example, the Xray asset in this image is the old one:

tml.01After resaving in TM2022.2.3 it is looking like this (notice the background change):

tml02Yeah, was a little bit of work on that, but after a while I've gained speed on doing that...😄

Hope this will help others...
