Is it a bug or does anyone have a solution for this problem ? 
Also having this issue since updating to 5.1. After testing I noticed that if the widget is added to the viewport from within a depth of more than two functions (mine was three), it fails to be removed from parent from any location. Workaround was to ‘Add to viewport’ from the function above in the chain.
