After trying everything, I managed to finish a game with UE

Hello.
I finally made my first game. On the way, I tried to learn so many stuff: GameMaker, Unity, Godot, Roblox, other game engines, Python, JavaScript, Lua, C#, C++, …

… and never was able to finish anything decent. In the past three years, I went through business bankruptcy, to living in a cave on an island (learning Godot there, hard to get electricity), to being able to buy a desktop PC, that can finally run UE with only 3-5 crashes a day.

With that, this forum is really great. I think I would give up if there were no @Everynone and @ClockworkOcean and others, who I hope are paid by UE because they spend so much time advising others.

Luminomania is inspired by Elastomania - a famous old piece. Graphics were created by random Material tutorials. To compose music was a challenge for me, as a musician but there are 3 original songs.

So far I created 25 levels, I hope it counts as a possible future portfolio and if the game gets some interest, good. I call it alpha, because I hope I get some feedback before calling it a full release.

Anyway, have it for free here and have fun:

I remember spending countless hours failing to trim precious miliseconds, only to look up how others do it, and I then immediately quit the game for good, mildly embarassed and disapointed with myself. The good times.

Woah. Colour me impressed. You wrestled with UE physics and won!

Now back to the Island Cave and make more $$$ games! You’ve got this. :medal_sports:
