After packaging running game receives no input - Windows

I’ve been working on my game and it’s been running fine when launching from the editor. I’ve gotten to a point where I want to demo it to some people so I packaged the game into an exe but upon launching my player receives no input.

I’ve made sure the “Default Modes” in Maps and Modes are set to the right player controller.

Any ideas?


Figured out the problem. I had to click the “Set As Default” button on Project Settings → Input.

Hi, where is this setting? I’m using 4.5 and don’t see a checkbox for “Set As Default”
