Advice on mesh usage

Hello all! Firstly THANK YOU for taking the time to read my question and helping me out. And I am sorry if you answered this in another way for someone else. But I am a newbie and am building my very first android/apple game( intend on making it VR compatible or a VR version only after completion of this initial android/apple game. And I want you to look at the maze and I literally dupilcated a bunch of cubes and scaled them to wall sizes. My question is, is this redun

dant? Will this make the game slow or low quality? I read something somewhere about material instances but I am not sure if what they were speaking of applies to me? Should I pay attention to how many meshes I use? Keep in mind I plan on having a oversized monster chasing multi-players through the maze. I’d like to be able to shoot and kill the monster too. I included some screenshots so you can see the hierarchy as well.

ANY advice or tips, or if you wanna help is treated like it came from the lips of God himself  LOL. Thanks so much!!!

If that’s one of your levels, you can probably just go ahead a try putting the monster in

Assuming all the cubes have the same material, you’re good to go. The engine will cull the cubes that aren’t near the player.
