Advanced Runtime Logging (GLS) UE5 Plugin — Major Update 0.14
Spring is here — and so is a massive GLS Plugin update!
We’ve listened to your feedback and added features that make debugging faster, smarter, and more personalized than ever.
What’s new?
- Named Tabs to organize your workflow
- Resizable filter panel
- Animated indicators for live log changes
- Smarter filtering with AND/OR logic
- Improved saving system (per-tab!)
- Hide logs with a single click
- Category sorting by relevance
- Categories stay visible after clearing logs
Whether you’re a solo dev, QA engineer, or leading a big project — GLS saves you time, so you can focus on what really matters.
Named Tabs in Advanced Runtime Logging
Named Tabs let you create and save custom log views for different tasks or systems (like UI, AI, or multiplayer). Each tab remembers its own filters and settings between sessions, helping you switch contexts instantly and focus only on the logs that matter.
Update v0.15.1 (11.11.2025)
-
New settings: “Respect UI Format” for Copy and Save. Now you can decide — copy/save logs exactly as shown in the UI, or always include full technical details.
-
Fixed the functionality of the ‘Copy Visible Logs’ and ‘Copy All Logs’ buttons to correctly copy logs to the clipboard.
@rIKmAN Thank you for reporting the issue and helping with the investigation. Together we were able to pinpoint the problem very quickly!
Update v0.15.2 (11.16.2025)
- Added Session Log File support — GLS can now write its logs to a separate file (including Shipping builds), configurable via the plugin settings.
- Updated GLS nodes (Print String to GLS and Print String to GLS (with tags)) with automatic LOD-based color correction, manual color override, and full reflection in the GLS game overlay.
Hey everyone,
I’ve put together a small FAQ for the Game Logs System plugin. Many users asked similar questions, so now everything is in one place.
If you’re using the plugin or just want to understand it better, feel free to check the FAQ: link.
If something is missing, let me know — I’ll keep it updated.
I won’t be posting in this thread anymore.
The main discussion is moving to the new topic, so if you have any questions, please continue there. You can also reach out to me on Discord or by email.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the discussion!
