Advanced Climbing System

Sorry everyone. I’ve been quite caught up in some other work lately and didn’t have any time to follow this thread as closely as usual.

@dob-session The controls are customizable. In your project settings under “input” you can customize the controls as you see fit.

@Spirance Thanks a lot for your kind words, I really appreciate you liking my work that much

@Kanc Thank you very much. Yes I am currently indeed using Mixamo animations. It was quite difficult to extract the root motion from Mixamo animations. I don’t really remember what exactly I did to get the root motion, but there were quite a lot of amateur-like actions that I performed (unfortunately I am no animation artist either :D). But if I remember correctly I only used root motion on one or two animations anyway. Pretty much all movements are performed without root motion, so that the system stays as dynamic as possible. Unfortunately I cant sell you any of the mixamo animations since I am legally not allowed to do so. Mixamo animations are not allowed to be distributed in their editable form. This is also the reason why I am currently working on new animations with another user. As soon as the system is ready to be distributed, we will sell the whole package, system + animations. As for you learning how to program such a system: Just keep on it! If you always try to improve your system and try to be as perfectionist as possible you will eventually get something awesome out of it (even if you don’t have a lot of experience. This was in fact my first project working with Unreal Engine or any game engine for that matter). If you look at my first video in this thread, you will see how bad the system actually was before it kept improving over time. And the first video is actually a masterpiece compared to my very first try
