Ads Attribution Installation on Game Page

Hello Epic Games Community,

I have a seemingly simple question that may turn out to be more complex than intended. I am the cofounder of a consultation firm that has a particular specialization in marketing strategies and activations. Our bread and butter happens to be advertising campaigns through a variety of platforms, most notably Reddit.

Is it possible for our client studios to implement various attribution tools into their games’ pages, for the purpose of identifying which ads campaigns are providing conversion? More specifically, is it possible for the installation of Reddit’s Pixel tool?

To provide context on Reddit’s Pixel tool, here is some information from their archives:

If this is not possible, what appears to be the standard for measurement? UTM links? I apologize for the n00bish questions; however, I am relatively new to working with the Epic Games Store as a clients’ means of distribution, and would really like to garner a better understanding of how I can facilitate these processes for my clients.

Thanks,
Anthony

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out, this would not be able to be implemented on the Epic Games Store at this current time. This may be something that we may provide in the future, but do not have any active plans at this time.

Best,
Ryan

Thank you for the timely response. Do you happen to have any documentation or suggestions on how my clients can measure the performance of their marketing activations, in terms of which mediums are driving users, and subsequent actions (add to wishlist, download, etc.)?

Direct integration of Reddit’s Pixel into Epic Games Store pages isn’t possible, but you can use UTM links to track ad performance through analytics tools. For more in-depth tracking, integrate attribution SDKs like Adjust or AppsFlyer within your games to monitor installs and user actions.
