Support of Adobe DNG (Digital Negative) file format.
Dear Bill,
the problem with RAW images is that our software supports just 8-bit/channel images internally. However, you can use CR2 RAW but it will be internally converted to 8-bit/channel. Therefore we strongly recommend to use a 8-bit file format like jpeg (maximum quality) or tiff. It contains significantly less space to store on your HDD and therefore loading to RAM is much faster. Furthermore, we don’t need to convert jpeg, tiff, png, etc to 8-bit internally so it is another time-saver.
Another advantage is that you have control over the 8-bit quality i.e. you don’t know how will the RAW be internally converted yo 8-bit.
We will support HDR images soon. Then we will most probably support also DGN.
