Adjusting control rig on different character proportions

I’m trying to assign the default character Control Rig to this model I downloaded from FAB, but the proportions are too different. After opening the control rig file, I tried to adjust the handlers to fix the bone positions, but when I hit compile, the bones reset.

I followed this video, and his character works:

How do I make the edits permanent?

You might consider using modular control rigs.

This proceduralizes the creation of the rig and handles different proportions.

Thank you so much. This is actually the solution I decided to follow after a few Google searches.

The problem I am now facing is that when I assign a module to a thigh bone, for some reason it twists.

As you can see from the screenshot, the one on the left has the module, but the bone’s rotation is wrong. Meanwhile, the one on the right does not have a module (default), and the rotation is correct.

The rotation issue only occurs only when when I assign the module.

Never mind the direction pivot things were crazy far away :slight_smile:

But when I hit compile, the position is reset, like the previous problem
