Adjusted Torch light shuts off when a certain distance away from the torch

I have made an adjusted particle emitter for a new torch which has a bigger light radius. Everything works just great in the game and it gives a good amount of light, however when you walk away from it at about 5meters if you are facing away the light shuts off. If you turn around the light comes back on. but as soon as you face away from it the light shuts off. Does anyone out there know cascade well enough to know which of the umpteen settings would be affecting this? I have done some trial and error poking at this but so far only minor improvement. Any help or pointers in this regard would be much appreciated.

Thank You For that… I did do a whole bunch of searches (honest!)apparently I need instruction in THAT too! That was Exactly the information I was looking for!
